Summary

With Clara Lieu

Description

RISD Professor Clara Lieu presents an informed look at the various social media platforms available, and provides practical, straightforward advice for how a visual artist can best harness these platforms to pursue their career goals. Find out which social media platform is best suited to your needs as a visual artist, and learn concrete strategies which will help you use social media effectively. Participants can ask questions, and have one of their own social media platforms critiqued.

About Clara Lieu:

Clara Lieu is an Adjunct Professor in the Printmaking Department at the Rhode Island School of Design, and a Partner at ART PROF, a free, online educational platform for visual arts. She wrote Ask the Art Prof, an advice column for visual artists in HuffPost for three years.

Her studio practice uses various techniques of drawing, printmaking, and sculpture as means towards exploring the extremes of human emotion, using the human figure and face as a vehicle for expression.

She has exhibited my work at the International Print Center New York, the Danforth Museum of Art, the Currier Museum of Art, and the Davis Museum and Cultural Center. She has received artist grants from the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation and the Puffin Foundation.
