About Ben Snitkoff | Ben Snitkoff is a former Big Law attorney who decided to take his experience and create a law practice of his own.

He started Modern Renaissance Legal to provide the legal assistance that entrepreneurs, artists, and start-ups need, but often cannot afford.

Ben has a wide range of experience in both private practice and working for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He has litigated patent cases in US District Courts across the country and the International Trade Commission in Washington, D.C. In addition to spending two years clerking for the Massachusetts Appeals Court, Ben was an integral team member on several cases before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Ben has represented clients ranging from small non-profits to multinational corporations.

Ben earned his undergraduate degree in Genetics, and has experience litigating cases involving consumer devices such as film and photographic lighting, telephony, computer chips, and software.

Ben is admitted to practice before the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts, the Federal District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the First and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeals, and United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Ben has, at varying times in his life, been (and in some cases still is) proficient in the following: photography, solving Rubik’s Cubes, making balloon animals, improvisational comedy, classical ballet, trombone, close-up and small-stage magic, knitting, fretted instruments (including guitar, banjo, and mandolin), preparing sushi, team trivia, making espresso and coffee drinks, delivering newspapers, and quoting the entirety of Back to the Future verbatim. Ben lives in Somerville, Massachusetts with an ever-growing art collection and a single plant that he has kept alive for over a year now.
