Summary

Concept Aware® is a unique framework of concept development. Offered as a toolbox of creative practices which apply imagination and lead ideas into impactful images.

Description

Concept Aware ® is a unique and creative framework which provides tools to develop your inspired ideas into impactful images. It will:

- Refine your creative practice

- Define how you see and why it matters

- Help you step into your power as an artist

- Strengthen and expand your visual voice

Offered as a toolbox of creative practices which apply imagination and lead ideas into impactful images. How do ideas translate into impactful images? What impediments limit the creative process? Who has developed sharp critical thinking skills which are evident in their photographic work? Where is your visual voice the strongest? Why does cultivating a creative practice matter? Locate where you are on the creative continuum and gain a new skill set focused on your image-making.

This program will run for 3 consecutive Tuesdays, October 16, 23, 30, from 6-9pm each evening.

About Sybylla Smith:

Part artist, part academic, J. Sybylla Smith is equally compelled to create art as to examine its cultural significance. Roles as a fashion designer, stylist, and creative director have all been informed by the need to develop a visual language that conveys a concept, idea or theory.

Her diverse resume reflects over 25 years of curating fine art photography exhibitions with international photographers, bringing advertising campaigns and fashion editorials to fruition, and developing and teaching university curriculum, Concept Aware™, on creativity and concept development.

Her collaborations have led to lasting relationships with renowned galleries, museums, art fairs, advertising agencies, and international print publications. Smith’s current practice focuses on developing creative content for individual clients and organizations as a curator, portfolio reviewer/creator, editor, brand developer,
educator and speaker.
