Description

Broken Beauty is a juried exhibit of Cambridge Art Association Member work, juried by Cathleen Daley (Co-Founder/Director of Room 83 Spring). As a companion to Broken Beauty, Cathleen has also curated Soft Shoulder, an exhibit featuring 10 artists working in a variety of mediums.

Broken Beauty explores reverence for the flawed and imperfect — be it simply pointing to and honoring, or an act of rescue, restoration and mending whole. From remnants and rubble, and futility to utility, art selected for this show exalts the everyday, the ordinary, and the ephemeral and through artistic intervention express and question value, viability, principal, and perception. Points of view extend from humor to homage.
