New Program!
As we embrace social distancing, and look for creative ways to share art and inspiration, CAA is launching a series of Virtual Studio visits. We will host these visits via ZOOM, allowing up to 100 guests to ‘visit’ local artist's studios, ask questions about the artists work and progress, and share in community, from a distance. For our second Virtual Studio Visit, we are pleased to visit the studio of Judith Prager!
Virtual Studio Visits are free, and open to all! If you are not already registered in our database, you can close the account login pop-up on the registration page by clicking the X in the top right corner, and then proceed with your registration.
All attendees must register for this event in order to receive the link and login information for the ZOOM event. Please note: the system automatically closes registrations at 11:59pm on April 8. If you are unable to register before that time, please contact Erin Becker at ebecker@cambridgeart.org to register.

About Judith's Artwork: Judith loves the surprise of painting - the special individual journey of each painting, the sensuous feeling of the paint, and the pop of the color and texture as each painting resolves itself. This is true whether she’s painting landscapes, still life or abstracts. For Judith, each painting is an experiment. She enjoys starting in different ways, using different materials and mediums, and different tools. Sometimes she paints "plein air," sometimes from a setup, -sometimes a photograph will inspire her, or a drawing from a memory, and sometimes it's just totally out of her imagination. Judith teaches painting classes in her studio, and many times the structure of the class and the class "assignment" will get her going. Judith strives for movement, dramatic composition, and vibrant color to delight the eye and to create serenity or excitement, light and mystery.
About Judith: Judith Prager regularly shows and sells her vivid and dynamic landscapes, still life, abstracts, and figurative work in the Boston Area and throughout the USA. Some recent shows include the Fitchburg Museum, the Thorne-Sagendorf Gallery, the Chandler Gallery- Maud Morgan Center, the Bromfield Gallery, the Cambridge Art and Concord Art Associations and the Somerville Open Studios. She is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art and Design and Vassar College. Judith also teaches painting classes in her studio, where she helps her students experiment with different ways of working and find joy in creating. Her paintings are in hundreds of private collections throughout the United States and abroad.
