Needlefelting with Jodi Colella

THIS WORKSHOP WILL BE HOSTED ON ZOOM. ALL TIMES ARE EASTERN TIME.

This is a two-day class.

Day 1: Tuesday, 1/12, 6:30 - 8:30 pm

Day 2: Tuesday, 1/19, 6:30 - 8:30 pm

Learn the technique of needlefelting with wool and a barbed needle to create your own wooly sculpture. Indulge in the satisfying meditative activity of punching fibers with a needle while learning to mix color, create surface texture, compose shapes and customize your design. Includes learning basic techniques as well as some of my secret inventions for building larger forms. Once you start you won’t want to stop!

Materials provided (these will be shipped to you, with the fee included in your registration fee):

-Felting Needles in sizes #38, 40, 42
-Foam pad, 3 inch thick to punch needles into while felting
-Wool fleece batts and roving (about 8-16 ounces per student depending on their projects)

In addition to the materials kit, please have a small pair of sharp and pointy embroidery scissors (for carving objects)

All program registrations close 1 week prior to the program date, at 5pm.

ZOOM links for all classes are sent out the day before the first class date, no later than 5pm.
