Description

Stop Motion Animation workshop, with Kyle Browne

Saturday, March 11 (2:00pm-5:00pm)

 

In-person at the Kathryn Schultz Gallery

Make your ideas and images move like magic through stop-motion animation! Learn the basics of stop-motion and create your very own mixed media animation inspired by food and imaginative animators who take food prep to a whole other level. In this in-person workshop with Kyle Browne, you will be using the app Stop-Motion Studio. This process is accessible and is a true mix of analog and digital. No experience is necessary!

Required Materials:

 

  • 1-pack of your choice of 4 colors Plastalina Modeling Clay
  • 1-2 clamp lights
  • Smart Phone with Stop Motion Studio App
  • Smart Phone tripod/stand
  • 3-4 everyday objects
  • 3-4 kitchen objects
  • Sketchpad 
  • Drawing materials - pencil, colored pencils or markers, black pen
  • Scissors
  • At least one yard of solid color fabric (for backdrop)

About Kyle Browne

Kyle Browne is a local artist and educator who has worked extensively throughout Greater Boston. She has taught Stop-Motion Animation at the MFA, in Cambridge + Boston Public Schools to all ages. She loves how you can still see the artists' hand in the process and brings objects and art alive, like magic!
