Description

Climate AND Change: A Virtual Presentation with Rachel Licker, Union of Concerned Scientists

Thursday, April 27, 2023 (6:00-7:00 pm)

on ZOOM

Presented in conjunction with Inspiring Change for the Climate Crisis (i3C) exhibit on view in April

Climate change has become an unavoidable reality for most people around the world. While many governments have made significant strides in ramping up climate ambition, recent reports show that we are not on track to meet important targets that would avoid some of the more dangerous impacts. This talk will review both the latest science on climate change and its causes and explore the interplay between individual actions and systemic changes that could get us where we need to be.

About the presenter

Rachel Licker is a principal climate scientist with the Climate & Energy Program at the Union of Concerned Scientists. In her role, she provides strategic thinking and technical and analytical expertise across the organization, analyzes new developments in climate science, and communicates climate science to policymakers, the public, and the media.
