2023 NPS Keynote: Instagram for Artists, with Robin Cembalest

Thursday, June 15 (6:30-8:30pm) on Zoom

$25 CAA Member; $30 General Admission

presented in conjunction with Cambridge Art Association's 2023 National Prize Show

Join CAA's 2023 National Prize Show juror Robin Cembalest for a two-hour presentation on maximizing engagement for visual artists on Instagram! This program follows past and ongoing CAA programs focused on social media self-promotion, including Instagram Strategy for Artists, led by Ayana Mack; and Selling Your Artwork on Instagram, with Julia Powell. With over 50k followers on Instagram, and a lengthy history in arts writing - including 16 years as the editor of ARTnews! - Robin will bring her unique perspective to this talk.

During the two-hour presentation, you can expect to learn how to:

  • Craft a dynamic profile

  • Chronicle your art process

  • Explain the larger meaning of your work

  • Leverage Reels, Stories, and hashtags, along with tools for expanding visibility and networks

After  this workshop, you’ll be empowered to create effective organic content  that connects you with people who will show your art, sell your art, buy  your art, write about it, or offer other career opportunities.
