Art at Night Poetry Reading: Who Do You Think You Are?

A special encore reading, presented as part of Cambridge Science Festival's Art at Night!
Join us for a Poetry Reading as part of our Who Do You Think You Are? exhibit programming! We will be joined by four poets: Judson K. Evans, Linda Carney-Goodrich, Deborah Leipziger, and Anne Elezabeth Pluto.
This event is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is encouraged.
About Judson K. Evans | After a tenure as director of liberal arts for Boston Conservatory from 1988 to 2015, Judson Evans is now a full-time professor in the Liberal Arts Department at Berklee College of Music. He teaches two poetry workshops, Microcosm/Macrocosm and Experiments in Form & Collaboration, as well as two humanities electives, The Cave: Inquiry into the Origins of Art, Religion, and Philosophy and Crossing Cultures: Greece & Japan.
About Linda Carney-Goodrich | Linda Carney-Goodrich is writer and teacher whose work appears in Nixes Mate Review, Anti-Heroin Chic, Muddy River Poetry Review, Literary Mama, WordGathering, Gyroscope, City of Notions: An Anthology of Contemporary Boston Poems, and forthcoming in The MacGuffin. Her poems have been displayed at Boston City Hall through the Boston Mayor's Poetry Program. She is the Poetry Coordinator for the Menino Arts Center and proprietor of Home Scholars of Boston. Her first collection of poetry is forthcoming in 2024 from Nixes Mate Books.
About Deborah Leipziger | Deborah Leipziger is an author, poet, and advisor on sustainability. Born in Brazil, Ms. Leipziger is the author of several books on sustainability and human rights. Her poems have been published in eight countries, in such magazines and journals as Pangyrus, Salamander, Lily Poetry Review, and Revista Cardenal. She is the co-founder of Soul-Lit, an on-line poetry magazine. Her new collection of poems, Story & Bone, was published in early 2023 by Lily Poetry Review Books. Her chapbook, Flower Map, was published by Finishing Line Press. Her work appears in numerous anthologies, including Tree Lines: 21st Century American Poems.
About Anne Elezabeth Pluto | Anne Elezabeth Pluto grew up in Brooklyn, NY before it was cool. She is Professor of Literature and Theatre at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA where she is the artistic director of the Oxford Street Players. An alumna of Shakespeare & Company she was a member of the Worcester Shakespeare Company 2011 – 2016. Part of the Boston small press scene in the late 1980s, she is one of the founders and editors at Nixes Mate Review and Nixes Mate Books. Her publications include chapbooks: The Frog Princess, White Pine Press (1985), eBook Lubbock Electric, Argotist ebooks (2012), Benign Protection Cervena Barva Press (2016), the edited print edition of Lubbock Electric Nixes Mate Books (2018), and full length collections The Deepest Part of Dark, Unlikely Stories Press, NOLA (2020), and forthcoming from Lily Review Press (2023) - How Many Miles to Babylon.
