Jen Barrows is an interdisciplinary artist and curator interested in the construction of the American identity both in how it is represented and how it is lived in. she examines contemporary America through the lens of popular culture, history, religion and tourism using rites, rituals and experiences where meaning is emphasized and considered by way of sound, celebration, prayer, and record. She is an adjunct professor in Photography and Interdisciplinary Studies at Lesley Art + Design. Her artwork has been exhibited internationally. Jen has an MFA in Studio Art from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, at Tufts University.
